Imagining Freedom Fundraiser and Culinary Tasting

Imagining Freedom Fundraiser

Join us for slavery-free, farm fresh fare, lively music, a champagne reception and important conversation.

January 30, 2018 | 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Turnbull Center, 555 West Pensacola St.,Tallahassee FL 32301
Champagne Reception and Tasting (5:30 – 6pm): $100;
Culinary Tasting (6-8pm): $75.
Complimentary beverages, wine and beer.

The “Imagining Freedom” Fundraiser and Culinary Tasting is a casual dining event to raise awareness about both labor and sex trafficking in the Big Bend. Food stations, coordinated by Susan Turner and Food Glorious Food, will feature dishes that are slavery-free and not part of food chains that include trafficked labor. Experts will provide insights and answer questions about trafficking in our area — and beyond – and will offer concrete ways guests can help victims of human trafficking.

We need your help. This is our inaugural dining event with a goal of 200 people attending. Your sponsorship will help create awareness about the widespread problem of human trafficking in Florida’s Big Bend. Please consider one of the following sponsorships. Thank you for your support!

Special Thanks to Food Glorious Food and Susan Turner for Coordinating Food Contributions from Local Restaurants, Local Farms, and Purveyors, and the Champagne Reception.
