DJJ works to reduce juvenile delinquency by providing prevention, intervention, and treatment services to youth. Human trafficking services provided by the department include training and awareness as well as screening and referrals to resources for youth within the juvenile justice system being trafficked or suspected of being trafficked.

Education, prevention, intervention, and service referrals. Provides risk assessment for human trafficking and other concerns to all youth involved with the department. Youth identified as at risk for human trafficking via this original assessment are then further screened for human trafficking.
